These Terms govern your use of the CTRL+ALT+HAPPINESS store and any purchase you make through it. The store is operated by CTRL+ALT+Press, LLC ("CTRL+ALT+Press," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. The store
This store sells the book CTRL+ALT+HAPPINESS by M.C. Davis and related editions, bundles, and educator packs. We may add, change, or discontinue products, and update prices and descriptions, at any time.
2. Orders and pre-orders
Some items are offered as pre-orders ahead of the August 29, 2026 publication date. Placing a pre-order reserves your copy from the first print run; your order ships or is delivered as described on the product and on our Shipping page. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order — for example, if an item is mispriced or unavailable — and to refund you in full if we do.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and do not include any applicable taxes or shipping, which are shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; by placing an order you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
4. Returns and refunds
Returns, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
The book, its text, cover art, and all content on this store are the property of CTRL+ALT+Press, LLC, M.C. Davis, or their licensors, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Purchasing a copy grants you a personal, non-transferable license to read it; it does not transfer any rights to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works. Ebooks are for your personal use and may not be redistributed.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the store — including attempting to disrupt it, access it in unauthorized ways, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
7. No professional advice
The book and related materials are for general educational and informational purposes and reflect the author's views. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice, and are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
8. Third-party links and services
The store links to and relies on third-party services (such as Stripe, Beehiiv, and our related websites). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services, which are governed by their own terms and policies.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The store is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CTRL+ALT+Press, LLC and its owners and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the store or any product. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above; continued use of the store means you accept the updated Terms.
